COMMON CABLE INTERFERENCE and MANAGEMENT PROBLEMS

Meeting Application Attenuation Requirements

Power and signal wire and cable are susceptible to interference from adjacent equipment and devices.

Power and signal wire and cable may cause interference with adjacent equipment and devices.

Emissions from one cable are radiating onto an adjacent cable.

Cable shielding (screening) is not adequate, and redesigning the cable is not a preferred solution.

The cable system attenuation requirements include immunity against environmental sources of interference.

Potential sources of interference cover a broad frequency spectrum, including low (KHz) and high (MHz) frequencies.

THE ATTENUATION SYSTEM

dBzSHIELD is a modified Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) product line. When planning for critical equipment protection, cable runs through Shielded Flexible Conduits are an option to be considered by EMI and Electrical Engineers along with filters, enclosures and other specialized shielding materials as part of the complete attenuation system.
