ZERO GROUND HFES® vs.
Standard Wiring Systems
Based on the facts
below, it is quite clear that comparing ZERO GROUND HFES
with standard wiring systems is NOT an apples vs. apples comparison.
The HFES components are designed to be used with the HFES installation method, providing benefits only available
now.
• Standard wiring systems are designed to ground
COMPONENTS (VFD, motor etc.) to physical earth.
The ground in HFES
is not at the component, but THROUGH THE CABLE SYSTEM. HFES does
meet NEC 250 grounding requirements.
• Standard VFD cables are
used on the drive output only. HFES is rated and used on the “input to” and
the “output from” the drive.
• Equipment and cable manufacturers’ recommendations vary on maximum cable runs for Standard three phase VFD cables due to concerns about voltage spikes and voltage drop at extended lengths. The specially designed HFES system assembly can support link distances in excess of 500 FT.
• Standard wiring systems run in parallel or in close proximity to instrumentation cable increase the likelihood of crosstalk. HFES minimizes crosstalk between adjacent cables.
• THE ZERO
GROUND HFES technology is patented, and no standard wiring
system will meet all ZERO GROUND HFES patent claims.
